This textile sculpture reflects softness as a way of knowing—an embodied, relational state emerging through touch, care, and accumulation. Using worn and repurposed materials, I approach matter as responsive and quietly expressive rather than inert. Vintage embroidery, repurposed textiles, copper pennies, and my son’s wrist cast as an armature reveal how care, repair, and memory can become structural. Through wrapping, pleating, and gathering, I collaborate with the materials instead of imposing fixed outcomes.
